WHAT'S THE LEGAL
STATUS OF THE URBAN GUARDIANS PARTNERSHIP?
The Urban Guardians for at Risk Youth
Partnership and it's capital development initiative
for "At Risk Youth" is a joint industry
collaboration that is currently a charitable project
of the tax-exempt Columbus, Ohio based Help 4 Hunger
tax-exempt nonprofit Our goal is to dramatically increase
support for disadvantaged urban youth at risk. Help
4 Hunger is a Christian based, tax-exempt, nonprofit
fiduciary for the Urban Guardians Youth Partnership,
it's Initiative and it's Awards.
An "Urban Guardians Foundation"
is planned for development and is hoped to be fully
established and operative as a stand-alone foundation
by the year 2010. The Urban
Guardians Foundation will be established by the project
founder and Akron, Ohio native, Donald E. Thornton.
Mr. Thornton is currently working with local Akron,
Ohio nonprofit developers, attorneys, political figures
as well as philanthropic and charitable executives
of whom are assisting Mr. Thornton in fully establishing
an "Urban Guardians Foundation and Charity"
in Akron, Ohio.
The "Urban Guardians Project"
was created by Mr. Thornton to benefit several urban
youth programs locally, nationally and globally and
to eventually establish independent chapters in various
participating markets such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles,
Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Kentucky, Orlando, Chicago,
Detroit and Phoenix, where Mr. Thornton has a network
of charitable friends and colleagues.
